MEQA CAN ISSUE A
SECOND PARTY REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE |
| |
Certification, whether
accredited or not, is a matter of choice for an organization
|
| |
The value of certification is not to be underestimated, but for
some organizations the certification route may be neither
necessary nor financially viable. For these organizations, the
answer could be to have their quality management system (QMS)
audited by a second party such as MEQA Consulting Ltd.
This
certificate, although not internationally recognized, would
satisfy any request for proof of a reliable QMS, adjudicated by
a recognized and registered by a qualified, unbiased entity;
such as MEQA with a long and active client list.
Your
organization would make the most of the benefits that the
principles and implementations of ISO 9001:2000 can offer, but
without the cost and constraints of a third-party certification.

HOW MEQA LOOKS AT YOUR
BOTTOM LINE!
LET'S CONSIDER A VERY
SIMPLE QUALITY PROBLEM THAT COULD BE APPLIED TO A MANUFACTURER (THE SAME
IDEOLOGY CAN BE APPLIED TO A SERVICE ORGANIZATION).
10 PARTS ARE MANUFACTURED
AT A COST OF $10.00 EACH. THIS COST WOULD INCLUDE WAGES, MATERIAL, BENEFITS,
FACILITY MAINTENANCE, ETC.
ALL 10 PARTS ARE REJECTED
AND HAVE TO BE REMADE.
IN ORDER FOR A COMPANY TO
STAY IN BUSINESS IT MUST GENERATE AS A MINIMUM, THREE TIMES ITS COST OF
LABOUR. THEREFORE A $15.00 AN HOUR EMPLOYEE MUST CREATE $45.00 AN HOUR FOR
THE COMPANY.
THIS THEN MAKES OUR
REJECTED PART CONSIDERABLY MORE EXPENSIVE TO EVALUATE.
1. $10.00 X 10 PARTS =
$100.00 YOU HAVE ALREADY SPENT. ANOTHER $100.00 WILL GET YOU BACK TO ZERO.
YOU SHOULD HAVE GENERATED AT LEAST $300.00 FOR THOSE PARTS; THUS THE 10
PARTS HAVE COST YOU $500.00.
A QUALITY PROGRAM WOULD
PROBABLY HAVE PREVENTED THIS LOSS OF MONEY AND REPUTATION. |
